Near and wallet friendly

Travelodge Edinburgh Central Queen Street: Needs no introduction - less than a one minute walk from the venue.
Premier Inn Edinburgh City Centre (York Place/St James Quarter) Hotel: Another fan favourite - 5 minutes walk from the venue but 1 minute walk from the St James Centre shopping mall. Ideal for those who forgot to organise an outfit yet!

Quite near and wallet friendly (if your wallet has lots of money in it)

The Balmoral Hotel: A luxury five-star hotel located on Princes Street, not too far (10 minute walk) from the Royal College of Physicians. It offers elegant rooms, a spa, and a Michelin-starred restaurant.
The Caledonian: A slightly longer walk to the venue (15 minutes) but this was where Taylor Swift stayed when she came to town so worthy of an honourable mention.

These are just a couple of ideas to get you all started, as I mentioned, the venue is as central as you can get in Edinburgh so there are hundreds of hotels, B&Bs, guesthouses, Air B’N’Bs, self-servicing apartments all within an easy walking distance so feel free to read some snazzy hotelier’s reviews and pick whatever you fancy!

Luckily Edinburgh is very well connected with a variety of travel options.

If you are coming from Edinburgh or the central belt, undoubtedly, you’ll know how to get to Queen Street. It’s just around the corner from St Andrew’s Square where most buses (and obviously the tram) stop. Waverley is the nearest train station and is a 5-10 minute walk.

If you are coming from afar there are many different and convenient routes to take. The airport is just a 30 minute tram away from the venue and the aforementioned Waverley station is just 5-10 minute walk and has links to all major towns and cities across the UK

If you need any help with booking transport please don’t hesitate to ask myself (Fran, who else would be writing this) or Callum (who should be helping writing this) and we’ll be more than happy to help point you in the way of an appropriate Google search (joking - we will actually help).

Please come ‘dressed to impress’

Even though we hate the phrase, please come in formal attire. Although we will be inside all day and we assure you the venue will be nice and toasty - it can be rather chilly outside in Scotland during February. So, please do pop on a coat over your beautiful dresses/suits and kilts! A cloakroom will be provided.

The venue does not allow for jeans, trainers, sportswear or football kits (looking at you Callum, sadly, no Hibs kit for the groom!
